Third PETRUS-ANNETTE PhD and Early-Stage Researchers Conference 2017
Radioactive Waste Management and Disposal
Date: 26-30 June 2017
Location: Universidade de Lisboa - Instituto Superior Técnico – Portugal
What are PETRUS and ANNETTE?
What is Petrus?
Since 2005 “PETRUS” initiative coordinates universities, radioactive waste management organisations, training providers and research institutes efforts to develop cooperative approach to E&T in the geological disposal. PETRUS proposes an innovative strategy to ensure the continuation, renewal and improvement of the professional skills by sharing resources from both academia and industries all over Europe.
What is ANNETTE?
ANNETTE is a European project granted by the European Commission within the H2020 EURATOM program. The main objective of the project is to consolidate and better exploit the achievements already reached and to tackle the present challenges in preparing the European workforce in the different nuclear areas, with special attention to continuous professional development, life-long learning and cross border mobility.
About the PETRUS-ANNETTE 2017 conference:
Following from the successful inaugural PhD conference in radioactive waste management and disposal held in Nancy, France, and the 2nd conference in this series held in Delft, the Netherlands, we are looking forward to the third edition in Lisbon, Portugal.
Our main aim is to provide again a unique opportunity to bring together PhD students and early-stage researchers, alongside professionals and academics in the topic of radioactive waste management and geological disposal. The event is designed to be simultaneously a research school and a conference.
Selected PhD students and early-stage researchers will have the opportunity to present their works in all areas related to radioactive waste management and disposal. Special prizes will be awarded in both oral presentation and poster sessions.
The program includes several plenary lectures presented by outstanding Professors highlighting strength and diversity of research and current topics.
The written and spoken language of the Conference is English.
